Perfectly Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

The Recipe

Yields 35 – 40 cookies

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup melted butter (~ 2 sticks)

1 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

2 whole eggs, beaten

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

2. Mix together all of the ingredients until you reach a consistency of cookie batter. Fold in the chocolate chips last after all of the flour, eggs, and butter are mixed thoroughly.

3. Make small balls about lemon-sized and press down slightly to make patties out of the cookie dough. Place onto a parchment paper or a sprayed non-stick pan. Line the cookies about 2 inches apart since they will spread when baked. Bake for about 10 minutes and check if they are done with a toothpick.

4. Let the cookies cool for about 10 minutes before removing them from the pan/parchment paper and placing them in an airtight container. Do not refrigerate the cookies or they will lose their moisture!
